FAQs

Your customer experience is important to us. We want to provide the right service for your needs. Hopefully we’ll be able to answer your question on this page. If you can’t find the answer here then please CONTACT us and will get back to you as soon as we can!

We offer personalised small group tours, we do not have a set timetable, we have the flexibility to change the day to suit the weather and tide conditions for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.  We always try our very best to accommodate our guests in what they would like to see and do whilst on tour with us.

Our bay is blessed with clean water and our tours are designed so that there’s plenty of time for you to enjoy a swim at a world class beach on the Golden Future Tour. Of course, only brave hop in the winter. Make sure you bring your swimmers and a towel.

Depending on your physical ability, we have a tour for you! On our Eco boat tour you can choose to do a self guided walk along the Abel Tasman track if you would like to, this could be a self guided walk up to 1.5hrs towards the end of the tour or alternatively you can do a short 10 minute stroll along the beach or you can just relax on the beach.  The choice of walking is up to you and we will do our best to accommodate.

We don’t have a public office, but can be reached by phone or email. If you prefer to talk to a real person, you can call into the Motueka i-Site or Nelson i-Site. All of our trips start and end at the Department of Conservation information kiosk at the start of the coastal walking track in Marahau.  Please go to our Contact page to see where to meet us.

You will see more wildlife on our tours than with any other operator, from the smallest diatom to the largest dolphin or seal, we are passionate about all things natural and do our best to blow you away with the diversity of the area. We cannot guarantee anything in particular but we have the best idea where to find things and you will never fail to be surprised by what you see. Of course if you have a particular interest in a species, we will endeavour to focus on that, in order for you to ‘tick that box’.

Comfortable outdoor clothes are recommended, we cannot guarantee good weather every day and cotton clothes do not dry (especially jeans), so try to avoid wearing them. Always bring an extra layer, sun protection. Sneakers will suffice for the Eco Boat tour. Feet may get wet at the beach, so flip flops / jandals or similar footwear is advisable.

6-6.5hrs of inspirational immersion in nature, history and inspirational stories. We serve hot drinks and a sweet snack for morning tea, lunch is included (for infants there is a small charge for lunch if requested when booking).

Please see our Terms and Conditions page for our full cancellation policy, we will however endeavour to make things right and offer you a suitable alternative or reschedule for another day.

Unfortunately we do not have toilet facilities on the boat, however, we are never more than 5 minutes from a toilet once we are in the National Park and it is easy enough to stop and have a bathroom break.
