Kia ora and welcome to Tasman and Golden Bay Guardians

Kaitiaki Moana o Te Tai-o-Aorere

At Abel Tasman EcoTours,  we believe in putting our skills into improving our environment and the community.  So in 2017 we established Tasman and Golden Bay Guardians,  we are tackling a range of identified threats to the aquatic environments of Tasman and Golden Bays, through action projects,  spatial management and of course education.  We believe that by conducting successful action projects between stakeholders,  we can then more easily tackle the big decisions that we face in ensuring a healthy future for our bays and community.  Please click on the link below to see our plan.

“Conservation, education and collaboration”

Vision Statement

Our community and treaty partners working together to restore a healthy, thriving marine environment in Tasman and Golden Bays to sustain connection, use, and enjoyment by present and future generations.

Mission Statement

Facilitate stakeholders to collaboratively address environmental issues so that the marine environment of Tasman and Golden Bay are regenerated.

We have identified a number of threats to the aquatic environments in Te tai o Aorere (Tasman and Golden Bays)  which we will address through conservation of ecosystem services,  collaboration on actions and decisions with stakeholders associated with the bay and of course education of communities and students on solutions to the problems.

If you are interested in our work,  please read our strategy and do not hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards
