Join our Tasman Treasures Tour, this is a fun van ride taking you to a multitude of local hotspots and secret hideways. Hear the fascinating history and community stories that make this such an amazing place to live. You will see wetland restorations, sacred places, iconic scenery and even a cave! This is the trip we take our friends on when they visit, all walks are short and easy and suitable for most skill levels.

Meet us at the boat ramp in Marahau (First on the right after you get to the sea shore). We will have our van waiting for you there. Please park at the far end of the trailer park. See our contacts page for a map. Alternative pickup points can be arranged on booking.

Enjoy eco stories, history, photo stops and nature as we embark on a whistlestop tour of Tasman Bay’s Treasures.
Lunch at Riuwaka Resurgence, a world renowned beauty spot and sacred site to Maori, the magical waters emerge from deep inside Takaka Hill’s caves system to feed the Riuwaka River.
We ascend Pikikuruna (Takaka Hill), enjoy the scenery while your guide tackles the infamous road. Gain a sense of perpective from stunning viewpoints out over Kahurangi National Park, Nelson and Marahau on the other side. Take a guided tour through the Ngarua Caves to top this amazing trip off!
3.00 – 3.30pm:
Return to Marahau satisfied, revived and relaxed with your new friends, ideas and knowledge.
This itinerary may be reversed depending on the tide on the day, we are the only company in the park with supreme flexibility that will maximise your tour experience to it’s full potential.
This trip is a bit more leisurely and less remote than our others, but we do advise a raincoat and sturdy sensible shoes for the walkways.
